I was told that this mark is Lunt but I can not find it in ant of my books or on the web site. Any information on the key symbol would be good.
Thanks,
Kim

Hello,
It most certainly is a Lunt pattern, one known as both Enid and Chatelaine. Lunt began production of it in 1894.
It appears that part of the maker's mark, just before "Sterling" was ground out, repolished and overstamped with that "key" mark. I have no idea why this would be done.
Silver imported into the Netherlands is stamped with a key symbol, but they would never remove, all or part, of another mark to do this.
Cheers,
AinA
