Postby polo_fer_lauren » Wed May 17, 2006 1:56 pm

Hello everyone,

I think this pair of salt and pepper shaker is made by Watrous Mfg. Co. Am I right?.
By other hand, Is it possible to date?. What is the meaning of the "79"?

Thanking you in advance and apologise for my bad English.

Fernando.

Your English is excellent, much better than I could do in Spanish! It is a Watrous mark, they were founded in 1896 and were one of the original companies that formed International Silver in 1898. The crescent-W mark was used for many years, well into the 20th century, the "76" is a catalog or style number.
