I am helping a friend ID this beautiful 14 1/2 inch tall solid sterling awards trophy of appreciation. Hallmark on the underside I do not recognize. I do not think it is Whiting although is similar.

That mark is very similar to the one used by Redlich & Company located in New York, New York. Founded in 1890 as Ludwig, Redlich & Company. Between 1892 and 1895 Adolph Ludwig sold his sold his interest and the company became Redlich & Company. It was taken over in 1946 by the Elgin Silversmith Company who continued to use this mark.

Thanks to all for the input. As you can see it is a real huge solid sterling piece made long ago the good old fashion way. The rotary club emblem in the middle is solid 14k gold my sources tell me. Thanks Mike / Mgfrd
