Ramekin or ramequin (bouillon bowl)

Set of six sterling silver ramekin bowls.
China inserts made by Syracuse pottery. The mark on silver looks like Meriden company, but the letters are ``L.L`` instead of ``m`. In short, who made the silver?
Thanks for looking.

Hi AG2012,
To me it looks like a single letter 'M' that has perhaps not been struck deep enough.
Compare the mark with our example at:

Right, have used 30X magnification - it is ``m`` but the mark being close to the bottom rim was rubbed off by long use. Thanks a lot.
