Can't quite tell what the mark is to the left of the anchor. There IS a very good list of Gorham Hallmarks for dating here on this website, under American Silver Marks. Have you checked there yet?

Thanks,
I already regarded the Gorham side, but unfortunately nothing found.
The 41 seems to point on the year 1941 . I am however not sure. The form of the anchor is between 1863-1890. Can help anybody else ?

regards

Dear Lolo,
Your candlestick was made sometime between 1933 and today. The numbers are pattern or design numbers, they are not related to Gorham's dating code marks.
Most American manufactured sterling will have numbers, or a mix of numbers and letters stamped on it. This type of spun and weighted sterling ware was on the low end of Gorham's production and they did not tend to date mark it.
Pretty pattern, it probably corresponds to one of Gorham's popular flatware patterns and was meant to grace the dining table with it.

Cheers,
AinA

ps. here a quick link to Gorham Marks for anyone interested.
