Gorham pattern name needed

Postby mxdeb » Sun Jan 29, 2006 5:11 pm

Have searched all the sites I can find and can't find this pattern name. Hoping someone will recognize it. Also is this a sharpening steel or a meat skewer or both. It measure 14" over all.
Thanks

This appears to be Gorham GS15.
As for the use, sharpening steels have tiny ridges that run down the shaft that you piece does not appear to have.

Thanks Aaron,
I wondered about that but I did see some Gorham steels on a web site and they looked the same and were called steels or skewers. So I guess we'll never really know umless someone has the original Gorham catalogue to see what they were sold as. Thanks
