As you can see below, I have a small dish about 8" across and the mark on the bottom says Sterling and 130.

I have no history for the piece .

I'm willing to do further searches on my own if someone can tell me where to go. I do love a good puzzle to solve....

Your dish was made by J. Wagner & Son, Inc. of New York, NY. They were first listed in the jewelry trades in 1909 and not listed after 1965. The original name of the company was Central Sterling Co. They were manufacturers of sterling silver holloware.

Thank you very much. I kept looking at the pictures here on the site trying to make sure I didn't ask about a mark that was pictured here. I appreciate your time in helping me out.

Thanks again.

Hey, I thought I had that one!
Thujandin, may I have your permission to make a copy of your mark photo? I like to add it the American marks pages.

Oh sure - be my guest. If it's not clear enough or big enough just email me. A small price to pay for the service. Again, I'm just glad I didn't waste any time asking for one you already had posted. Oh, and can you tell me what the 130 is?
