Bailey Banks Biddle silver piece

Postby rommie » Tue Mar 24, 2009 2:52 pm

Hi.

I'm new to this and not sure this piece is considered handwrought. I would truly appreciate it if you would tell me about the date mark and name of silver smith of this Bailey Banks & Biddle silver ware. Of course any additional information on this piece is very welcome!

Hello.

As you probably know, the name of the firm became Bailey Banks & Biddle in 1878.
My references don't say when your mak was used.
Did see this mark with a Dominick & Haff mark that was dated 1897.

Pat.

Pat:

Thanks for the reply. It was a bit of surprise, for I was under the impression that this piece was made after the 1900s.
