Marked RS Co in shield, Rogers Smith? if not, who?

Thanks for your help in confirming this is Rogers Smith or in identifying who. The S above the shield is the beginning of Sterling.

Hello Muraille.

Believe that mark was used by the Rockwell Silver Company of Meriden, Connecticut.

Founded between 1905 and 1907 by Lucien Rockwell and James W. Mackay.
Manufactured sterling wares, china, glassware and silver deposit wares.
Perhaps was best known for its silver on glass overlay items that it began producing around 1914.

Merged with the Silver City Glass Company in 1978 to form Decorex Industries.
