Have hit a brick wall in trying to identify, i.e. maker, series, etc. of the following 50mm sterling commemorative. Any help would be appreciated. Last pix was difficult to take...on the rim, after the word STERLING, there are 3 small boxes - the first shows what appears to be an F with a small m (?) over the F where the smallest crossbar would be - the second box is 71 presumed to be the date of the commemorative - and the third box is P (what does this mean??)
Kept chasing on the internet with various combinations of birds, dates, guesses, etc...the "medallion is from a series produced by the Franklin Mint. The coin is just over 2 ounces and is .925 sterling silver. The mark is the engraver's monogram - a stylized G R - for Gilroy Roberts, former chief engraver of the US Mint and designer of the Kennedy Half Dollar. Ain't the internet a grand reference? :). Thanks to all those that might have tried to find the answer.
