Help please with sterling mark

Postby tere » Mon May 12, 2008 8:13 pm

This one says Sterling and has 2 birds on either side of an M. Engraved 1902. Any idea what the sterling mark is?

Thanks so much.

Un-named it seems. Replacements calls it pattern #10. Circa 1915.

On one side is the name "Helen" and on the other side is the date 1902. Could it still be 1915 and they would have put a date of 1902 on it.

I saw Baker Manchester information and it post dated the 1902 date which confused me.

I only copied what I saw on Replacement's website. They probably attributed that pattern to the wrong year. They don't know everything, even if they think they do. And after all, there is a human at the keyboard.

#10 does not refer to the date of the pattern but the 10th unidentified pattern by that manufacturer that was imaged by this company.
