Help with unknown mark E.H. & Co. on sterling bookmark

Does anyone know of this company? I'm not even sure it's American. The shape of the bookmark blades are very much like ones I have from England.

I hesitate to suggest this because it's a long-shot.
Since you're not having much luck, I'll offer this possibility.

Your mark looks very much like one I've seen on silver watch cases made by E. Howard & Company. Boston, Massachusetts.
Amazing company, they even made precision balances, sewing machines and fire engines.
Don't know if they made book marks.
