Gorham Sterling Mirror Manufacturing date

Postby jpsetliff » Sat Nov 03, 2007 8:39 pm

I have received a vanity mirror that I plan to restore and set out for display. I'm not clear as to it's origination period. The words Gorham Sterling is stamped on the edge of teh mirror as well as the numerials 2 and 5 (offest). One can just make out the free hand etched letters ILOK adjacent to the numbers 2 and 5.

Can someone provide me a bit of history on this fine piece. Thank you

Hello. Can't see much in the way of marks there.
To the left of the number 5 there might be a date mark, not sure.
Take a look here and see if anything matches up with that mark.

Hi Pat :
To the left of the numer 5 is the number 2. That is all we can see. Thank you for responding, and we did look at the site you recommended with no luck. Let's hope someone can help on this one
