KRUPP BERNDORF CHILD CUTLERY What a silver?

Postby fixtroedelfuchs » Tue May 15, 2007 7:58 am

Hello,
I have here a beautiful cutlery with a motive for fairy tale of Krupp Berndorf, consisting of a measurer, a fork and a spoon.

They are marked all (measurers: “Krupp” then the brand name of Berndorf then “Berndorf” a “E” in the circle and then 100 a fork and a spoon: an 23 under this the 100 then “Krupp” then the brand name of Berndorf and then “Berndorf” and a “E” in the circle) and I it wanted to know whether these parts are silvered.

I still made you a few pictures of cutlery and the stamps. Can give their me information over it whether and how (which quantity) the parts are silvered. . . . .

hallo,
Produced in Berndorf, Niederösterreich, silverplated 100, means ca. 4 gramms of silver on one piece.
In german.: hergestellt in Berndorf,Niederösterreich, die Fabrik wurde später von krupp gekauft. Besteck versilbert mit ca. 4 gramm pro Teil bei 100er silber. (Admin edit)

Hello, the "E" in a circle is the mark of the Esslingen branch of Krupp, so strictly this was not made in Austria but in Germany between 1918 and ca. 1967. Best wishes, Bahner
