Silver Plated Tray help requested

Hi
Can any one help with this plated tray. It measures 14.5" diameter, the weight and design lead me to believe it an old quality piece but I am mystified by the mark. Any help greatly appreciated.

That's a British Registry mark indicating that the design of your piece was registered at the Patent Office on January, 25, 1865.
