Hello Dave.
Can you tell us what the letters are in the middle shield mark?
Looks like JSG from here, but I'm not sure.

Hi Pat
You are right the letters are isg.
the letters after the isg are n and s
The letters before the isg look like a crescent moon with an f resting on it and the second letter could be a p or and o. Apologies for my ignorance.
Many thanks for your time
Dave

Hello Dave,

I might be wrong on this but I think that patern was called Chippendale. The only maker I can find who matches the makers marks is Israel Sigmund Greenberg, who worked in Birmingham from 1895. The letters on either side of the maker's mark are E.P.N.S. for Electro Plated Nickle Silver.

Thanks very much Paul. Thats a great help. I can now see the EPNS once you have pointed it out. There was nothing in the box to indicate the makers. Many thanks for your time.
Cheers
Dave

Sorry I'm slow getting back. Having some computer problems.
Agree with Paul. Israel Sigmund Greenberg & Company, Birmingham.
