Hi Pat You are right the letters are isg. the letters after the isg are n and s The letters before the isg look like a crescent moon with an f resting on it and the second letter could be a p or and o. Apologies for my ignorance. Many thanks for your time Dave
I might be wrong on this but I think that patern was called Chippendale. The only maker I can find who matches the makers marks is Israel Sigmund Greenberg, who worked in Birmingham from 1895. The letters on either side of the maker's mark are E.P.N.S. for Electro Plated Nickle Silver.
