Need help with English silverplate marks Birks?

Postby Shinystuff » Tue Feb 13, 2007 10:04 am

I have these silverplate pieces and they are all similarily marked, rampant lion in a circle and "made in England" stamped under the lion. Are they Birks and if not does anyone know the maker and possibly how old they might be, I suspect they are recent.

Looks to me like a silverplate mark used by Charles Howard Collins, Birmingham, England.
I don't know how long they used this mark.
