I recently purchased this old teapot. I am told it is antique.
Can you tell me the age of the teapot and anything about its maker?

(Further info: There are two heavy dents. It is black inside and quite light weight.)

Many thanks

There are 4 squares with a letter each of EPBM. In between the two first letters are three circles together with a star in each.
Numers below read 3712 and there is a blank triangle stamp.

Any info appreciated.

Hi, EPBM stands for Electro Plated Britania Metal, the 3712 is probably a pattern number,I would say it is late 1800's in date, sorry I cant help with the maker,

I believe that silverplate mark was used by Barker Brothers, Birmingham, England.
