Reed & Barton 3900

I have a beautiful Reed & Barton service that is marked ESPN 3900 Gilt.

I have spent hours searching the web trying to identify the date it was made as well as if there is a name for the pattern. I do find others which numbers in the 3000's. It also is rare that ESPN is on any of their pieces.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
