Meriden Britannia Help with makers mark

Hello. I have a Meriden Britannia Company tea set and I can not find dates associated with the makers mark with the MBC in shields and the Electroplate (EP in shields) below. I see lots written about the circle with the scales but nothing for this makers mark in terms of when the company started and stopped using this mark. Thank you for your help.
