"Embedding" means to show the actual images in your post using "Img" tags rather than links - which not everybody is willing to click on.

Hi,
For numbers on silver plate see here:
https://www.925-1000.com/a_platenumbers.htmlMeaning, it is not solid silver, but silver plated.Number 40 is most probably factory pattern number, used by the manufacturer. It is too high to assume 40 grams of pure silver was used in the process of electro plating of relativly small pepper shaker.
