Left-facing Cannon mark on silver platter
Left-facing Cannon mark on silver platter
Any idea what this is? The cannon is the only mark on the tray's back.

Re: Left-facing Cannon mark on silver platter
Thank your this information. Is there any way to know if it is silver-plate or sterling? I have been assuming that if it was Sterling it would have more marks on the back with the cannon. Am I correct in that assumption?AG2012 wrote:Hi,

It is silver plated.
Britain has very strict and elaborate hallmarking system of silver; there are no silver marks on the tray.
