Help with Identification of Teapot

Post by Bananashark »

I nought this with a Reed and Barton 3610 USN Officer's Coffee Pot at a thrift store yesterday, so because of the simularities and the decent possibility that they share a similar origin, I am thinking the 3000 could be the 3000 of Reed and Barton which included other Navy items, however there is absolutely nothing that says Reed and Barton nor a hallmark that I see of theirs. I keep looking at the "2" or upside down 7 with a dot on it. The word silver is on it as well an extremely worn down S next to silver, I cant make out what the next letter would be, but it is not an O so it brings me doubt as my coffee/chocolate pot says silver soldered. The piece also has what is either wood or maybe cut tiger eye on the handle and other than the tip and handle looks like the matching teapot to the set, unless those parts are not original. He is close but slightly off vertically to the 2 like mark. Any help with identification would be greatly appreciated, I've only started collecting silver and silver plated items for roughly a year so there's a world of things I don't know.

It doesn't seem to show the pictures so I'm adding a link below each.
