Pewter inkwell - hallmark: ″GK″ w/ knight inside a shield

Hi! I′m trying to find info about this mark on what I believe to be a pewter inkwell. I′m uncertain about period or country of origin. I did find the silversmith ″George Knight″ listed in a hallmark database and thought it a literal match given the figure depicted, but the listing doesn′t mention anything about a pictorial mark like this one. Thanks!
