Need help identifying this canteen of cutlery

Post by Margonn »

Hey, I've tried to search these through the internet with no luck.

I got this pretty big set of cutlery, but I've had no luck finding this exact set or the marks anywhere.

They all have "made in uk" stamps next to this logo shown in the second picture, and another logo shown in third picture. They also have these numbers, different in spoons, forks, knifes etc, one shown in the third picture.

Hi,
Just guessing.
The number (upside down) is reminiscent of Devanagari used in India subcontinent. Number 19.
Different numbers on cutlery indicate number of grams of pure silver used for electroplating one set of spoons, forks etc.
It would be interesting to see what other numbers look like.

9,4,7 and 40 are clearly seen, so my assumption (India) was wrong.
The symbol after 9, 4 and 7 could indicate 90, 40 and 70 grams of pure silver used for electroplating.

I cannot tell more; let`s wait.

I was able to identify this, I think. It looks exactly like 1881 Rogers/Oneida Flirtation pattern, but these doesn't have any Rogers' or Oneidas stamps/marks. Any ideas why is that and am I even correct with my identification?

Sorry I'm really new to this and might and probably will say something wrong, but any help will be much appriciated.
