Ocean Liner Tea Strainer

Post by ghostcinderella »

Went through the site but couldn't find specific date.
Maker is clear but exact date ... Rd number indicating date doesn't appear on list.

Hi,
Rd No in the tea strainer is 668,229.
Year 1920 started with Rd No 664,869
Year 1921 started with Rd No 676,491

meaning the design was registered in 1920 which does not necessarily mean it was actually made in 1920.It could have been made several years after the year when the design was registered.
In a word, 1920 is the earliest year of production.
Regards

Has to be after 1927, as the first R.M.S. Laurentic was sunk in 1917, and the second one launched in 1927.

That was my basic need in finding the date; which Laurentic it was from. I would have preferred from the first but for paying only $25 Canadian... one can't be too disappointed with either ship. Thanks

Yes, I found that RD list originally, just didn't understand it worked by year, starting with a select number and everything in between fell into the that year. I thought each year had only one number. LOL. oops.
