Where does it come from?

Here is a teapot whose style reminds me of British but nothing sure ...



Looking at the hallmark (8, cat's head / lyon, 4), I don't get better ... Anyone have an idea?

I think it is French silver plate;square shaped maker's mark with 84 indicating the amount of plating.

Hi AG,

I had a doubt for the brand 84 but neither the goldsmith's hallmark nor the one including the 84 made me think of a French silver plate hallmark.
