A mystery "frame", mark Kayser

Post by mysterykayser »

Hello!

Does anyone have any information about this piece?
What I know by now: it is Kayser with a serial number 10. It is most likely a pewter piece with silver coating. But other than that I have not been able to find a piece in similar style/shape.

Hi ~ welcome to the forums.

It is pewter - try doing an internet search for 'Kayserzinn'...

Hi! Thank you for your answers!

But was it used for a mirror/art/something else? Just wondering, because it does not seem to have any hooks on the frame (to hang it on the wall), just a leg.

I think you're overthinking this. Picture frames today come with just a stand and no hook as well while some come with a hook and some with both. But most likely if the back is designed to easily slide out than it would be a picture frame as this would be inconvenient with a mirror
