Need help IDing marks on gold plated spoon

I bought a bunch of gold-plated flatware at the Brimfield Antiques Flea Market (Massachusetts, USA) last week and in among the pile was this spoon. I tried searching your site for the maker's mark but I came up with nothing that matches. It's a V with an S inside it - or maybe the mark is upside down and it's an A with an S? Any ideas?
