Help with this bread tray please?

I have this bread tray (?) and I hope someone can help me find out what the mark is on the back and also is it silver or silverplate. I don't know anything about this item. I have looked through silver marks on the internet and I haven't found anything like this. I was going to add the pictures but I don't know how. The mark looks like two lions standing up with their paws on a shield. It also has under the left lion an EP or ED and under the right lion it says NE or NS and then below that and in the middle of the right and left lion it says EVANS. Thanks for any help that you can give me on this. Rocky

EPNS stands for Electro Plated Nickel Silver - i.e. Silverplate

Evans is most likely the Evans Case Company of North Attleboro, MA. They are better known for items like cigarette cases, lighters and compacts.
