Help Identifying

Postby miss-muffett » Wed Aug 10, 2016 2:48 pm

I have a spoon and a butter knife that I have been trying to identify the maker and whether they are silver or silverplate. Both are marked with "HR 90" and what looks like "H over R"

Hi,

It's likely a German piece, and will be silver-plated.

To understand the '90', see: http://www.925-1000.com/a_platenumbers.html

Hopefully someone can identify the maker.

Hello, maker is Heinrich Rausch, founded in 1933 and active well into the 1960s (possibly longer). Regards, Bahner

Thank you all for the information. I've read on a few sites that "90" can mean either silverplate or silver; depending on the where/when/who made it.

Bahner, I have not been able to find any information about Heinrich Rausch. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
