Wilde Roos Spoon

Postby JanGroen » Sat Apr 16, 2016 3:13 pm

Good evening

I have bought this 90 silver plated, Dutch mustard spoon today. Cant make out the makers marks. Think I see a crown, followed by HH, then 90 and then the D.E. Any ideas who made it and when? Is it rare?

Dankie
Jannie

Hi,

Your "Wild Rose" pattern spoon is one of a long line of marketing items made by Hooijkaas for the Douwe Egberts company who sell coffee and tea. The D. E on your spoon are the company initials.

Other items included tea and coffee canisters. I understand that the earlier items were be via the redemption of coupons that were included in the Douwe Egberts coffee and tea boxes.

Cheers,
Steve
