Spoon appears best described as "Antique Fluted" design from trade ephemera posts. Do we have a pattern name? What is the stamped letter in shield mark? Does the crossing of the letters "V" & "L" in VDL seem to imply wedding/marital silver. Sorry that the "Prince's Plate" mark is so worn as to not photo well.

The u is thought to be a date letter but we haven't cracked the code, see viewtopic.php?f=38&t=24149

Princes plate seems to be an earlier trade name, probably first half of 20th century and pre WW2, but I cannot help with the pattern name or more accurate dating.

I would think the overlapping initials have no special significance other than the the owner had and used three initials.

Sorry if this doesn't take you much further.

In the UK the owners crest or initials were usually facing towards the user, whereas on the continent the fashion was to have them facing away.

To me, it looks like 'FCCA'?

The pattern is known as Georgian (B), or Queen Anne pattern. Pickford describes it as a cross between the Dognose and Hanoverian patterns.

The decoration matches the Queen Anne or Antique Fluted tea and coffee services of the late 19th century:

Can't believe I didn't flip that over. Knew there was something wrong there from the get go but got hung up on the DL possibilities. Looks like FA Country Club might be a possible if this were a commercial client--know they supplied Canadian Pacific Railway. Guess we might as well officially call it "Georgian Pattern" now--not that the world will stop to take notice. Thanks for the added info.

er, meant to say "Queen Anne Pattern" (that B stuff is not too appealing)!
