Help with Maker's Mark on SP Poppy Motif Cold Meat Fork

Postby silvercrown » Thu Jul 13, 2006 10:04 am

This fork was part of a sterling lot from an estate auction. It is silver plated in a pretty floral design. The flowers are poppies, I believe. I have made the assumption that "Selkirk" was the retailer. I cannot find the maker's mark and am not as familiar with SP as I am with sterling. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure about this, but I think Selkirk is the name of the pattern. Wallace Silverplate, introduced in 1912.
