A.S. Co. 1857 Flatware Identification?

I am having trouble identifying some flatware--they are marked A.S. Co., 1857, and a mark of a fork/spoon/knife crossed over a grid-covered circle. Thanks in advance for any help!

American Silver Company, Bristol, Connecticut. Founded in 1901. Bought by the International Silver Company in 1935.
