Can anyone tell me anything about these candlelabras?

Postby Sherri » Wed Jun 14, 2006 3:53 pm

I do hope I posted them correctly. I would appreciate any information you cangive me. I apologize - I haven't a clue how I got the one image up. I've been trying for 15 minutes!!!! This, actually is the mark I can't find. The other is the word England in Script. The Candlelabras are silverplate and have places for three candles on each. I hope you will forgive me for not posting two pictures. I couldn't find any info on how to post the pictures - I'm lucky I got one up. Thanks, Sherri

Ellis-Barker Silver Companies, Birmingham, England (in Europe they are known as Barker-Eliis). Founded in 1820. They opened an American branch in New York in 1897. They used a lot of marks. Your mark according to Rainwater's was used since 1912 on sterling and silverplate.

Thanks soooo much! Just out of curiosity, did you get to see all three of my jpegs? I couldn't tell from here - when I clicked the addresses, I got pictures of the candlelabras and the word "English".

You are welcome.
I think Admin. has corrected the problem, pictures are all showing up. Yes, I did see the three pictures before.

Pat.
