Please help me confirm the mark on this Sauce server.

Postby danhyde » Sat Jun 10, 2006 1:02 pm

Hello,

I have this sauce server & a few other similar ones all with the same mark.
I am new at this, & need confirmation that I am checking this correctly.
The websites indicate there will be two marks - a standard mark & a city mark.
This sauce server only has one mark - the three towers - similar to that of the exeter, england. The mark is not exactly the same, so I am wondering if it is just a similar mark if it is still considered the same mark.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Danny

Sorry, each English hallmark is always in a separate cartouche and there would be four, not just two:
city, standard, date & maker.

The letters read C&Co and EP which is Electro-plate not solid silver. Not sure who C&Co are but someone will know. Best wishes, MIke.

I have heard that Carrington & Co produced some silver plated items - perhaps they may be the maker?
