Hi - Can anyone help

I have recently cleaned out our parents loft ready for them moving and stumbled across silver teapot - can anyone help determine if it is solid silver, silver plate or just something to throw away!!

it has jk & co 1865 5 stamped in the bottom - its rather heavy and little details like the wing nut in the lid look hand made as its uneaven

Any help will be greatly appreciated
