Help Identify date and Maker??

Hi all, I just bought this item at a Boot Sale and was wondering if anyone can help, I think from reading in these forums the Item was made by Elkington Masons of Birmingham, possibly around 1850, but I would love to know if this is right, and what is the stamp mark between the B and The M represent excluding of course the bit of corrosion.

I think that is Elkington, Mason & Company. In 1842 Josiah Mason joined Elkington & Company and from 1842 to 1864 they used your set of marks. Here's a site that should help you:
