German Silverware set

Postby Fuzzydevil00 » Wed Jul 02, 2014 1:26 pm

Hey I did some research on the website and looked at all the German Silverplate makers but I can't seem to narrow this crown down to one. There are so many with crowns I was having trouble narrowing it down. I was hoping you folks could help me pin it down to an exact maker. I posted it on Flickr so you can see the marks. I just wasn't sure which one it was, I appreciate any help. I also can't figure out if it is pure silver or silver plate, its so light and non magnetic, did they every dip bronze/copper in silver ?

Anyway here is the link, and thanks again.

Hello, these marks are meant to fool, it is certainly not silver and most likely not even silverplate. Have seen pieces with no mark, with marks "EP Zinc", "EP Zinc Italy" and with "India". No idea where the pieces are really from, maybe it really is (nickel- or chromiumplated) zinc. Best wishes, Bahner
