Souvenir Spoon marked "AA LION"

HI all, I have a small souvenir spoon with a sort of palace or cathedral, marked with "AA", mirrored, maybe "AIA" and underneath you can read the word "LION". Notice that it is not a lion figure. Anyway the lion reference pointed me to England but ... do the English makers also write lion instead? Finally, If someone wants to add a clue about that palace, it will be welcome. As usual, I appreciate any help. Ty !!
