Birds with Markings on Tail - Need Help Identifying

I have 2 birds that have been in the family for years.
Interested in identifying them. They are approx. 3 1/4" high and approx. 4 1/2" long.
There are stamps on the underside of the tail of each bird.

These appear to be pheasants, probably the Common Pheasant, Phasianus colchicus, native to Asia, but widely introduced around the world as a game bird. Try doing a web image search on "pheasant."

There are many species of pheasant, and it may not be possible to be certain which species is intended here. The place of manufacture might be a clue.
