Norwegian Spoon Marked 40G

Anyone able to shed some light on this mark? Silver Plate or Silver?

Thanks Trev, I'm assuming that this system is used by Norwegian makers as well then?

Possibly, but of course, presuming there are no other marks to indicate Norwegian manufacture, the spoon could have been made in another country.

I'm going Norwegian due to the Oslo on the front lol, also came in a box bearing the logo Gullsmed Kolbjoymo, Carl Bernards Pl, Oslo. Most of the listings on auction site with similar spoons are listing them as Silver so still confused.
