Unknown maker

I recently purchased this lovely candle holder but I can't find out who the manufactuer is. I have seen a couple of names pop up but the strange Beaver mark in the middle is really confusing me. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

That's a silver plater's mark used by John Sherwood of Birmingham.
