A Spoon From The Netherlands

Hello,

I'm sure I've seen this silverplate mark on here somewhere but I can't find it anymore! The mark could be a bugle, a rams horn, a trumpet or such similar musical instrument. The town is VUGHT RAADHUIS, which I believe to me Vught townhall? I would be ever so appreciative if some one tell me what the mark means.

Thankyou,

Greg.

Hi Greg,

A couple of names to further research, the German company 'Reißmüller' and the Dutch brand 'Keltum'. From memory they both used that horn mark, but stamped in reverse to each other.

Hopefully someone else has a more exacting answer.

Trev.

Hi Trev,

Thanks for that. I'll research the names you gave and see where it takes me!

Keltum since 1935 a trademark of Gerritssen & Van Kempen first for silver plated cutlery and other consumer items and later also for stainless steel.

Thanks Oel,

It's great to see a real picture of the town hall building!
