I couldn't figure this one out. The mark is just one mark and sort of looks like he head of a dog or long-nosed, long-eared hound. It is on a simple teapot, and the spout looks handbuilt and applied. Handle and knob are wood. Looking for ANY information. Thanks.Image

Not much knowledge on foreign silver but looks like the Hungarian silver mark to me. Best wishes, Mike.

"dog head" hallmark silver quality?

I don't know how I missed that site with the dog head hallmark, and it looks very similar. However, the info I found on the dog head had lettering in the hallmark to indicate the kind of silver, I guess, and this has no letters or numbers. Does anyone know if this indicates plate? coin silver? or something else? thanks again.

Hi,
I don't know your mark, however, although it may have similarities, it is not the dog head mark used in Austria or Hungary.
