German Mark on a pair of scissors

Post by fay »

Hello,
I am attempting to identify the German trademark on this pair of scissors that were made to commemorate the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.
They are stamped SALEM 1692, Registered then the 'barrel' mark and Germany. The scissors are gilded. Photos have been included for easy of identification.

Hello, this looks like the mark of Friedrich Wilhelm von Kuerten, a Remscheid wholesaler. Founded in 1865, active until about 1975. He probably did not make this, he just sold it. Best wishes, Bahner
