Hey all, I actually found this in the trash the other day. It looks pretty interesting, and I was wondering if you guys could help me give it an exact date.

Hi Martin,

Welcome to the Forum.

The 'S' under the Mappin & Webb Prince's Plate mark is a date letter, but as of yet, and to my knowledge, this date letter system has yet to be cracked. Part of the problem is that Mappin & Webb appear to have used different date letter system's on different lines, eg 'Mappin Plate and 'Prince's Plate'.
