Silver or silver plated ???

Hello everyone :)

I have a bit of a situation in regards to these French tea pots!

The thing is I just cant say for sure whether or not they are silver or just silver plated???

But seeing that French hallmarking system is a very serious thing, and that these pieces do not have the famous

"tete de minevre" hallmark.

A logical conclusion would be that these pots are in fact just silver plated.

But I guess that's why I am here, because I just can't say for sure.

Any help or opinions would be much appreciated.

The piece is silverplate.
French silverplate pieces always bear two marks :
first a 6G, 12G, etc mark in a square, meaning 6 grams, 12 grams, etc, of silver were used to plate the entire piece
secondly the maker's or retailer's mark, in this case ERCUIS.
The business of Ercuis was created in 1867 in the village Ercuis, north of Paris.
