It doesn't show in the picture, but this spoon has the handle much higher than usual - Could it be a basting spoon?
Could you help with the mark, please?
Xbox in the title isn't a games PC, but a Square stood on its end (A fat diamond!) with a Cross through it

It seems not. In the scheme of things, I guess it isn't too important - Just an old well used spoon that we use every day.

It would have been nice to know something about it though.

I am one person who does not recognise your plate marks. As someone else once said "Compared to silver makers, there are not a lot of references for silver plate makers since a maker can use pretty much whatever marking they like so long as it is not a exactly the same as those marks controlled by the government for marking silver. This tight government control on silver objects means that such markings are relatively well documented. Silver is also more intensively collected and so collectors have focused more of their effort on researching and documenting maker's markings on silver rather than plate markings". Plate makers did not have to register with their respective Assay Offices, for example. The end result is that there is a large number of plate makers (especially British ones) whose marks cannot be identified with any certainty.
